Blanket flat fines and liens levys by government or punitive liens fines by governments are a violation of the equal protection clause of the constitution. Which states that's citizens will be treated equally in the administration of legislation. The equallity is abolished when the aforementioned levies are concerned because of th fact that in a world where assets and income vary disparately . The fines being indifferent to this fundamental attribute of a capitalistic society are indifferent to the wildly variable punitive outcomes . In other words a rich person and poor person commit the same traffic violation the póor person is punished disproportionately more by a 500 dollar punitive fine than the rich person the application of punishment is unequal and is in violation of the constitution. A remedy exists in Sweden
Fines are based on assets and in income and are a small proportion of the aforementioned
which actually remediates equality and fairness in thier justice system and legislatures dont simply focus on how to perpetually increase and expand what is criminal and what is a violation. It's nice to see legislatures working on behalf of their most vulnerable constituents.
